Basic kit checklist

Weather check guide

Check more than one forecast, look at wind speed as well as rain, consider cloud level, and remember that the mountain tops can be much colder than Conwy or the coast.

Choosing the right activity

Families and beginners often get the best day from a flexible plan rather than a fixed objective. The right day might be a short walk, climbing taster, skills session, coastal route or mountain day.
